Center of your head

The idea at the heart of this classGrounding

Grounding A seated figure, split light and dark and softly lit, sits on the crest of the earth, drawn as a mound of rounded petals in moss, plum, rose umber and mustard, with a pale flower and a pearl at its center. First a peach cord draws down from the base of the spine to that center. Then pearls of light run down the cord and fade into the center. Then cords are made and undone in turn: red, yellow, blue, brown, a waterfall of six wavy strands, and roots that fork as they go down. Then green streams rise from the earth into a flower at each foot and up the legs. Last, an egg of lilac and pale blue stands behind the figure for the aura, and the center of the head, the aura and the frame of the room each get their own cord to their own point in the earth, while the body's cord and the streams step back. the center of the head the aura the room

6 steps, playing in turn. Choose a number to hold one.

Gather attention from people, work, media and devices to a point beyond your aura. It hurts no one and ends no relationship.

02:02 to 03:47

Move the point inward: aura edge, about 12 inches in, forehead, then a little past halfway along a line toward the back of the head.

03:47 to 04:52

Rest in the center of the head. Ground any pressure; if you pop out, pop back. Nobody else belongs there.

04:52 to 06:00

Make that place your own: a mountaintop, a beach you know, or a room for you alone with art, windows, furniture and lights.

06:00 to 08:13

Make a gold sun and shine it through the crown into the head center, filling that place with your energy.

08:50 to 09:54

Let the gold flow into your whole body and about two feet of space all around you. Rest centered and in charge; check your grounding.

Keep target and direction clear: grounding releases downward; intake channels bring energy in.

Gather attention from other people and tasks into a head-center place that is yours alone, then furnish it so it feels like your own.

Recall scattered points without ending relationships

Begin by grounding from the first chakra to the center of the earth. Grounding is communication with the earth, a release route and a way for the body to feel safe. Let energy from work, family, friends and the day move down the cord and be neutralized.

This practice activates the center of the head, so breathe. Closed eyes can make the body sleepy, while this work asks the brain and awareness to wake up.

Attention may already be on many places at once: people, projects, media, devices or plans. Call those attention points back to a spot in front of you, just beyond the edge of the aura. This is not against anyone. It does not hurt anyone or end a relationship. It simply brings you into focus.

Enter and furnish a place that is yours

Move the attention point inward step by step:

  1. Bring it to the edge of the aura.
  2. Bring it halfway between the aura edge and the forehead.
  3. Bring it to the forehead.
  4. Draw a line from the forehead to the back of the head.
  5. Move a little more than halfway back.
  6. Let attention rest in the center of the head.
  7. Blow up the guide line once it has done its job.

Anything strange or pressurized in that space can go down the grounding. If you pop out, pop back in. The center of the head may hold energy simply because you have not been there much.

This place belongs to you. Nobody else belongs inside it. Give it an image that helps your body understand that. It can be a mountaintop above the crowds, a beach you know, a room with art and windows, a temple, a field, or a bubble. The image is not escape. You are still in the body and still grounded.

The image creates perspective. From that private place, you can direct grounding, body and personal space instead of being pulled around by the outside world.

Replenish the center, then body and aura

Ideas hereChakrasGoldGrounding

Create a gold sun above the head and shine it through the crown into the sixth chakra. Let it fill the room, mountaintop, beach or other image in the center of the head. The gold sun carries your own energy, so the inner place becomes inhabited by you.

Then let the gold continue into the body: face, head, torso, arms, hands, legs and feet. Let it also fill the space around you, about two feet below, above and on every side.

If another image feels right at the end, create it fresh and place it in the center of the head. Fill that image with gold too. Notice how the body feels when you are centered back on yourself, then check grounding, back off the sun and stretch out of meditation.
