Personalize your grounding cord

The idea at the heart of this classGrounding

Grounding A seated figure, split light and dark and softly lit, sits on the crest of the earth, drawn as a mound of rounded petals in moss, plum, rose umber and mustard, with a pale flower and a pearl at its center. First a peach cord draws down from the base of the spine to that center. Then pearls of light run down the cord and fade into the center. Then cords are made and undone in turn: red, yellow, blue, brown, a waterfall of six wavy strands, and roots that fork as they go down. Then green streams rise from the earth into a flower at each foot and up the legs. Last, an egg of lilac and pale blue stands behind the figure for the aura, and the center of the head, the aura and the frame of the room each get their own cord to their own point in the earth, while the body's cord and the streams step back. the center of the head the aura the room

Personalize your grounding cord

6 steps, playing in turn. Choose a number to hold one.

Picture a fresh cord from the first chakra to the earth's center and let any tightness or pain go down it.

01:02 to 02:08

Blow up the cord and make new ones in turn: red, yellow, blue, earthy brown. None is better, only different.

02:31 to 04:50

Try a waterfall, then a tree trunk with roots, then a tree from your own childhood, noticing how each feels.

04:50 to 07:06

For play, try a tube of coins or bills, then one filled with chocolate chip cookies or any pastry you like.

07:06 to 08:10

Choose an image that pleases you and widen it to hip width, sending down feelings, responsibilities and thoughts that are not yours.

08:10 to 09:27

Make one in your favorite color of this moment. The more you style it, the better it works for you.

One release route can be joined by other target-specific cords. The body's cord The foot channels The earth, with its center Head, aura and room cords The red, yellow, blue and brown cords in step III are source examples. Every other color only tells parts apart; it is not the color a cord, the earth or earth energy should be.
The body's cordLets energy goDown from the base of the spine to the center of the earth.
The foot channelsBring energy inUp from the earth through a chakra in each foot.

Keep target and direction clear: grounding releases downward; intake channels bring energy in.

A grounding cord can take different colors and images, from roots to a waterfall; one is not better than another, and customizing helps it work.

The connection is energy, not a fixed design

You have energy and life force. The earth has energy and life force. A grounding cord is energy connecting you to the earth, and that connection changes how the body handles what it carries.

Begin by calling awareness back to the body: legs, arms, torso, face and breath. From the creative part of awareness, make a fresh grounding cord from the first chakra to the center of the earth. You can imagine it, draw it inwardly, or let it form from the energy that is already there.

Then let the cord work. Give it tightness, pain, feelings or sensations that do not feel right. Let gravity carry the energy down to be neutralized. Keep breathing and stay conscious while the body responds.

The image is not fixed. It can be destroyed and remade. Changing it is part of learning what the body likes.

Compare differences without ranking colors

Ideas hereChakrasColor: a detail in a situationGrounding

Try several cords and compare the body response. Do not rank them as right or wrong. Red, yellow, blue and earthy brown each have a different feel. One color may feel strong, another easy, another dull, another familiar.

Practice the comparison directly.

  1. Blow up the old cord.
  2. Make a red grounding cord from the first chakra to the earth's center.
  3. Notice the sensation.
  4. Blow it up and make a yellow cord.
  5. Repeat with blue, then earthy brown.

After colors, try images. A waterfall can carry movement and release. A tree trunk or root system can feel stable, especially if it is a tree you remember from childhood or a tree that matters to you. Money can make the cord playful. Cookies, pastry or another silly image can break the idea that grounding must be solemn.

If energy that belongs to you goes down the cord, it comes back after the earth neutralizes it. The practice is not a loss of your own life force. It is a clearing of what does not need to stay in the body.

Customize to this moment and broaden the release

Ideas hereGrounding

After experimenting, choose an image that pleases you now. Widen the grounding until it is as wide as the hips, so the whole torso has room to release. Send down feelings that are not yours, responsibilities you have been carrying, and thoughts that are not even your own thoughts.

Then change the cord again. Make it the favorite color of this moment. The favorite color can change tomorrow. That is useful information, not inconsistency.

Let the final cord be simple or complex. Add colors, images, movement or texture. The more the cord is yours, the better it creates safety, roots the body into the earth, and clears unwanted energy.

Finish by bringing awareness to the whole body and breath. Check the grounding one more time. Open the eyes after the body has learned that it can release through a cord that actually suits it.

Practice

The guided practice runs from 00:00:37 to 00:11:25. Do it whole, from the preparation through the return. It uses tools from earlier lessons.

The complete color/image comparison belongs with this exercise; no one image is prescribed as universally best.
